Dear Prayer Partners,
In our last prayer letter, we requested prayer for Marsha’s mother, who had been recently diagnosed with lung cancer. In June, Marsha returned again to the States and was able to see her mother one last time before her departure from this life to be in the presence of the Lord. Michael and the boys were unable to return as school was still in session in Germany. Elizabeth met Marsha at the airport in Chicago, and they drove together to Atlanta where her mother was in the hospital and then drove to Hartselle, Alabama, for the memorial service. We appreciate your prayers and extra gifts from several of you to help with the extra expense of allowing Marsha to be with her family.
While Marsha was in the States, the father of Mia, who recently began attending our children’s Bible club, asked if he could stay and watch. He wanted to know what we were doing that his little girl was so excited about each week. It was exciting to watch his reaction to the Bible story from the book of Acts. He expressed interest in coming again to learn more. Most of the parents of the children who attend the Bible club are unsaved. PLEASE PRAY THAT GOD WILL GIVE US WISDOM AS WE SEEK TO REACH THE PARENTS WITH THE GOSPEL.
Summer break in Germany is six weeks long, during which time, most of the children and teens who normally attend Bible club will be away on vacation. Some of them will also be attending an evangelistic Bible camp during the break. The Bible clubs for both children and teens have been well attended, with some of the teens attending our church services on Sunday as well. PRAY THAT NEW KIDS AND TEENS WILL BE ADDED TO EACH GROUP WITH THE START OF THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR.
The ladies' Bible study has been well attended this past year. FIVE LADIES REGULARLY MEET WITH MARSHA TO STUDY THE SCRIPTURES AND TALK ABOUT WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES CONCERNING REARING CHILDREN in an ungodly world. Marsha would appreciate your prayers for her as she seeks to answer the questions these ladies have.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support!
Michael and Marsha Talley
